I’m a hard working and enthusiastic software engineer with a passion for front end development. I have an FdA in graphic design and spent over 3 years experience working in a busy marketing agency along with 7 years development experience which has given me a strong set of skills to deliver high quality products.

Working in high performing agile teams, communicating closely with clients to help deliver large scale projects. I pride myself on engineering and ensuring the delivery of high quality code that delivers value to the business and end user.

I have helped bring projects from initial concept right through to development and release. Working both individually and as part of a team, bringing products to customers, and implementing tools to help with the day to day tasks. This can take many forms such as reducing technical complexity, task automation or implementation process changes all which help improve efficiency.

My skill set is primarily React and Javascript. I have strong experience in wide set of libraries and frameworks such as React testing library, Jest, React Query, Redux, etc. I am also well versed in server side technologies such as Node, PHP, MySQL, NoSql, GraphQL and others. I also help train my colleagues whether that be delivering presentations on a range of topics to up skill a group or pair program on a 1-to-1 basis to discuss issues and possible solutions that may be appropriate.

Being part of a team that has helped create and improve products used by millions of users gives me a great sense of pride and enjoyment in the work I do. Experimenting and continuous improvement will always be at the heart of who I am from the large scale enterprise solutions to the small hacky projects I do in my spare time.

Outside of work I enjoy computer games, clay pigeon shooting, photography, movies and family. All of these give me inspiration to create new ideas and look at solutions from different perspectives.
